Sports project provides classes in
volleyball in schools in the cities of São Paulo and Rio Grande do Sul
The initiative is carried out by the NGO Vivendo Esporte with the support of companies
CPFL ENERGIA, Instituto CPFL and gives GER in the cities of:
Alumínio-SP, Abraçai-RS, Balão Mágico (Bento Gonçalves)-RS, Mairinque-SP, Nova Roma do Sul -RS, Pinto Bandeira-RS, São Roque-SP, Salto de Pirapora-SP, Sorocaba-SP and Votorantim-SP.
10 centers for training children and adolescents for volleyball will begin activities in the coming months.
The project is developed by the NGO Vivendo Esporte with support fromCPFL ENERGIA, Instituto CPFLand gives GER, through the Federal Sports Incentive Law. The project is led by former player of the Brazilian Volleyball Team, Ronaldo Henrique, known on the courts as Royal.
The objective of the project is to give children and adolescents the opportunity to promote educational sports activities. Volleyball classes will take place in the after-school shift, in mixed teams (male and female), aged between 6 and 16 years.
The project cities will be executed in one unit per municipality. There will be vacancies totaling approximately 800 young people involved with the project. To participate, you must be enrolled in the Public Education network.
“More than simply promoting a sports workshop to assist in the education process, we seek through this initiative to reduce the situation of exclusion and social risk of children and adolescents. Sport favors the construction of personal and social knowledge and also helps in the formation of values for these children and young people”, highlights Royal. “With the project, we also seek greater control over school attendance and lower student repetition rates”, he adds.
